Gliding into Winter Fun!

As the Interlake region loses its rich, vibrant colours of fall thoughts turn from preparing for a Manitoba winter to what activities will keep us busy and enjoying this season. With the ghosts and goblins done their trick & treating, the majority of communities fed at the community fall suppers, families now turn to the next holiday season we will soon be celebrating. Excitement is in the air as expectation twinkles in the eyes of the young!

Common to many communities in the Interlake is the traditional Christmas Craft Sale, providing shopping opportunities close to home. Supporting local folks that produce outstanding crafts from their homes is a great way to share the joys of the Christmas season among family, friends and communities. Take time to explore the Interlake while shopping for your Christmas gifts- it is amazing what you will find. Give those special handmade clothes for a little girl's doll or a little red wooden wagon for a favorite boy on your Christmas list. Could you find someone on your list that wants clothing, jams, jellies, jewelry, handmade soaps, toys, candles, honey, Christmas décor items, wood carvings, pottery and so much more?

Check out some of these places to leave the hustle & bustle of the city shops & malls behind. Ensure you allow time for lunch, relaxed shopping & meeting neighbours when planning your day.
