It Happens to be in the Interlake!

Geocaching is growing in Manitoba and in the Interlake! This week the 2,000th cache was placed in Manitoba and it lies somewhere between Lake Manitoba & Lake Winnipeg in the Interlake. Come for a journey north of Winnipeg and explore our region- try finding the 2,000th Manitoban cache.

If You Hide It They Will Come!

See complete news story in Interlake papers on our new ITA Geocoin. Read all about it , the design features, the availability of the coin, and why you would like to own one of your own.

An Absolute CHARMER!

The WAVE Studio Artists Tour in June was refered to as An Absolute Charmer! The artists confirmed it to be a great success for their studios. The WAVE artists are placing the Interlake on the map, themselves and their works of art and crafts into the public eye! This event is a self-guided tour along the west shore of Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba's Interlake. It is an adventure with discoveries of artists studios in the depths of farmland, at the edge of dense marshland, and placed near the, oh, so brilliant white sandy beaches of our inland ocean. Even encounter white angora rabbits, miniature angora goats, mini Dall sheep,... A road sign says ‘Inland Oceans, Infinite Possibilities’ so, why not brand the Labour Day weekend the WAVE Adventure weekend. Dare to go where few have gone before. Go WAVEing! Go!

Interlake Tourism

Thursday September 11th was a spectaular evening for the ITA members that attended the 7th Annual "Celebration of Stars" at the Teulon & District Museum. Perfect weather, great company & a lot of laughs made the evening a great success.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Triple S Fair & Rodeo. This Non-profit group comprised of the Agriculture Societies from St. Andrews, St. Clements & Selkirk have succesfully run this Fair 130 years. They contributed to the Interlake area and to tourism in general for a number of years. This award was sponsored by the Interlake Development Corporation and presented by Deanna Fridfinnson. Unfortunately no one was in attendance to receive this award. Pictured here is a demonstration you would see each year at the Fair.
