Olafson looks to transform The Narrows and beyond Posted By Heather Robbins Posted 10 days ago Chad Olafson, the driving force behind Narrows West Lodge and Narrows West Development, has no shortage of experiences, including becoming friends with Sopranos star James Gandolfini. "I met him when he can up here with his brother-in-law and first cousin for a hunting trip," said Olafson. "I knew him when he was a struggling actor. You know, I've thought for a long time if I get caught up, I'd write a book about the crazy things that have happened by me." Until then, the 33-year-old, award-winning Interlake entrepreneur will be busy transforming the Narrows area, northwest of Vogar on Hwy. 68, into a West Interlake tourism destination by completing Narrows West Ranch Estates, a 60-lot cottage development; a 330-lot development where Gandolfini purchased a lot; a $127-million hotel; year-round water park complex; golf course; condominiums; business park and retail mail.
