"Locals Know" campaign- Have you entered your new & Exotic Canadian experience?

Infinite Possibilites Auction raises awareness at ITA Awards

A huge THANK YOU to all donors of items for the Interlake Tourism Association auction last month. Adding to the awareness of the many businesses in the Interlake is an important part of what we do in tourism- be a great "Backyard Tourist" and visit one of the following area businesses!

ITA "Celebration of Stars" took place on Thursday September 17, at Steep Rock Beach Park. The evening started with pontoon boat tours of the Steep Rock Cliffs, with locals residents reciting the local history, the pride in their unique natural beauty.

Volunteers help save Manitoba's wetlands with night of country music

Oak Hammock Marsh, Man. – Wetlands are more than simply marshes and ponds. They help to clean our drinking water, our lakes and our rivers. They also deliver amazing outdoor spaces to explore, and give all kinds of wildlife a place to call home. But despite these benefits, 80 acres or 45 soccer fields of wetlands are lost every single day.

Glenn Byron & Fraser Stewart tie for Volunteer of the Year Award

This award recognizes outstanding contributions without financial compensation to the Interlake tourism industry. Without volunteers the majority of our rural events and attractions would not exist. Absolutely outstanding nominees for Volunteer of the Year led to a tie for first place with the other nominees only 1 & 2 points behind. We have some amazing people who believe in the Interlake & working to make it a better place.Glenn has proved “small towns can dream big” when a strong group of volunteers work towards a common goal.
