2009 Travel Manitoba Tourism Award Winners

Take a peak at the 2009 Award Winners and finalists from the May 26, 2010 evening gala to celebrate Excellence in Tourism. It's that time again for the Interlake stars of Tourism to shine. Nominations are in and the judging is soon taking place. Winners in the Interlake Regional Awards will be announced Sept. 16th at our "Celebration of Stars" Awards Dinner.

While the night was cool & rainy it did not dampen the spirits of the Interlake Tourism Association members & guest who gathered at the Hitch'n Post Ranch to Celebrate excellence in tourism in the Interlake!

Interlake Tourism Association is a membership based organization, however each year we celebrate excellence in other tourism businesses that we work with, that are complimentary to our members to acknowledge what these businesses & groups are doing to promote the Interlake.

ITA honours the Icelandic Festival of Manitoba with the Interlake Award of Distinction

This award recognizes exceptional leadership that helps the Interlake realize distinction as a high quality tourism destination. Bringing thousands of tourists to the Interlake every August for 121 years speaks of dedication & determination to keep alive the heritage & culture of the Icelandic population of Manitoba.

Congratulations to Town of Arborg

Congratulations on your success in the "Communities in Bloom" competition. The Town of Arborg was awarded 5 out of 5 Blooms at the recent National Competition held in Nova Scotia. Special Mention was given to our Trail System. We congratulate all the Garden Club volunteers whose hard work allows us to enjoy a beautiful town, and impressed the visiting Judges.

Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site named as one of Top TEN sites

Canada's History magazine officially named Lower Fort Garry to its list of Canada's top 10 national historic sites today. Lower Fort Garry is the only site chosen in Manitoba
