(Approx. 3.5 km return) – In the summer, this is an out-and-back trail that winds its way along the lakeshore through towering aspen and white spruce. Stop at the lagoon and watch from the protection of the screened in gazebo as red-winged blackbirds flit among the cattails and muskrat cut a trail through the still waters.At the end of the trail, discover the history of Hecla as you explore the remains of both a quarry and a fish station.
