St. Andrews Rectory becomes new home for the St. Andrews Heritage Centre
Following an afternoon of experiences designed to let students from St. Andrews School learn first hand how a log was sawed, how to make bannock and cook it over an open fire the Grade 6 students sang a song relating to the opening.
St. Andrews Heritage Centre, along with the RM of St. Andrews has signed an agreement to lease the property, caring for this important piece of local heritage.
“Now the hard work begins, ” stated Russ Garvie, Chairperson of the St. Andrews Heritage Centre. Displays will be planned with a special committee in place to work on that, artifacts chosen and then moved for relocation in their new home. This will take part over the impending summer season.
Look forward for more exciting information on their move and what lies ahead for them.
