Metis Days Celebrations

Metis Days Celebrations at St. Laurent is held each August Long weekend with music, dancing, Miss Metis contest, Mud-bogging and a weekend slow pitch tournament. A fun-filled weekend for all ages await you when you kick back and relax to some fiddle music. Oak Point, a community north of the town of St. Laurent on Hwy 6 was the farthest north corner of Manitoba when it was proclaimed a province July 15th, 1870. Due to its size and shape it was nicknamed the “Postage Stamp” province.
