Basket Lake WMA

Basket Lake is shallow and marshy with uplands surrounding it that are dominated by aspens and poplars with grassy and willow areas. The wetlands are home to numerous frog species with the uplands used by garter snakes.

Elk, moose, white-tailed deer, grouse and waterfowl are found here.

Great blue herons, ring-billed gulls, and several grebe species nests here. Much of the area has seen repeated wildfires.
