It’s the Prairie Dog Central’s season opener and today it’s all about Mom! Treat your Mom to a special day as we make our way from Inkster Junction Station to the rural community of Grosse Isle. Kick back and enjoy our onboard entertainment as we make our way up the line. During the stopover, visit the beautifully restored Ridgeway Heritage House, stroll through the East Rosser One Room School or take a moment in the church. Friendly vendors will be selling their hand-crafted souvenirs, refreshments, ice cream and baked pies and tarts. More live entertainment featuring the Audayo Brothers will wrap up our day before we head home. Mom will appreciate this relaxing day surrounded by those most important to her. Sweet Treats for all Moms onboard.

Saturday May 20 – Great Train Robbery (Bonnie and Clyde)

The word up the line is that Bonnie and Clyde are back and looking for the next train to target! We ask that you remain alert and report any suspicious activity to our onboard personnel. This bothersome duo are usually accompanied by a gang of thieves and are driving a bullet-ridden vintage vehicle. With your help we hope to avoid any confrontation and enjoy an uninterrupted trip to our destination. On arrival at Grosse Isle take a stroll through the various buildings in the Heritage Village, pick up a freshly prepared hotdog or smokie or indulge yourself in some baked goodies or an ice cream. Tap your toes to the live music performed by the Audayo Brothers.

Saturday May 27 – Great Train Robbery (Cowboys and Gals)

Local law enforcement has informed us that those desperate cowboys and gals have been spotted and they are sizing up their next haul. We ask that you remain alert and report any suspicious activity to your Porter. As we make our way to Grosse Isle take part in a good old sing song as we are joined by the Audayo Brothers. Bring your own picnic lunch, devour a freshly cooked hotdog or smokie or indulge in some baking. Take a step back in time while visiting the Heritage Village or tap your toes to the lively music. This is a fun filled, family friendly day that you don’t want to miss.
