International Migratory Bird Day

Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day at Oak Hammock Marsh, one of the best birding areas in Manitoba.

This year’s activities include a shorebird survey walk, song bird banding, presentation by Christian Artuso and a visit from the Parrot Club of Manitoba.

  • Song bird banding – 10 a.m. to noon – Experience a close-up look at song birds with resident naturalist Paula Grieef.
  • Parrot Club – 12 to 3 p.m. – See live parrots and meet their owners with the Parrot Club of Manitoba.
  • Shorebird Survey Walk – 8 to 10 a.m.– Join birding experts Christian Artuso and Tim Poole from Manitoba’s Important Bird Area Program for a two hour shorebird Survey Walk. Pre-registration is required. Cost is $6 person.,
