The Selkirk Port Market is a summer tradition on the beautiful Selkirk Waterfront. Held on Wednesdays through the last two weeks of July and every Wednesday in August, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market is a relaxed midweek destination where the community gathers by the river to shop, eat, and enjoy the season. Best of all, it’s free to attend.
Each week brings a fresh mix of local vendors offering everything from fresh produce and homemade baking to jams, handmade crafts, art, jewelry, and more. The lineup changes week to week, so there’s always something new to discover. Grab lunch from a food vendor, browse for one-of-a-kind finds, and enjoy free live music through the Busk Stop program, which spotlights a different local musician each week. There’s plenty for the whole family, too, with community booths and activities that make a market visit an afternoon out.
The Port Market is a chance to support the local makers, growers, and small businesses of Selkirk and the surrounding area, all in one of the region’s most scenic settings. The market runs rain or shine, closing only in extreme weather for everyone’s safety.
