The Little Retreat in the Forest is your Canadian secluded, magical forest escape. A very short drive north of beautiful Gimli, hidden down a long winding driveway. Pup friendly.
Nestled in the spruce, with all the amenities of a small, suburban-style house including a full kitchen, a wood stove, hammocks, fire pits, hiking trails, swimming/skating pond, snowshoeing, our vinyl collection, and, as John Prine told us to do, we moved to the country and threw out the TV.
There is much more detailed information provided about the cabin, amenities, and all your FAQs directly in the Airbnb listing.
And…. NEW in 2023! You book the cabin on the Airbnb app, which is still the same, but the Airbnb fee is GONE! Airbnb adds a 12-14% fee on top of GST and cleaning fees for a stay, so I decided to remove that fee by paying it ourselves. So there are no hidden fees.
We are located in the ancestral homelands of the First Nations of Treaty 1 signed in August 1871. The lands located by Camp Morton and Gimli, Manitoba are located on the ancestral lands of the Peguis First Nation (see also Selkirk Treaty signed in 1817).
The Little Retreat in the Forest is your secluded, magical forest escape away from it all.
“Lose your Mind and find your Soul“ as the beloved naturalist John Muir wrote.
The cabin is secluded on 80 acres of preserved and protected land located in the boreal forest of Manitoba’s Interlake just north of Gimli. Restore and disconnect away from it all in our beautiful cabin, heal alone with the phytochemist of the spruce trees in the sounds of nature, on private trails, and visit our permaculture pond.
